Matty Zemel started playing club level ultimate in high school playing for Denver’s second team, Sack Lunch. Zemel continued to grow as a player with Colorado Mamabird, taking the team to two finals appearances in three years as a starting defensive line handler. His performance earned him Southwest All-Region recognition in 2010 and South Central All-Region recognition in 2011. At the elite club level, Zemel is an effective handler defender with lightning quick reflexes and the ability to lay-out in an instant to generate turns. His game is complemented with solid handling skills and a quick release huck. Zemel will be touring the country this summer with NexGen before returning to Bravo.
